Graphic quoting Henry Ford's Dearborn Independent on Jews living off people rather than land or production

Claim 1: Ford's newspaper printed the "genius of the Jew is to live off people" line shown in the graphic

Verdict: True.

  • The source: The sentence in the X post from @Red_Pill_US (Aug. 10, 2026) comes from Ford's newspaper, The Dearborn Independent, issue of November 13, 1920. It was later reprinted as Chapter 23 of Volume 2 of The International Jew ("Jew Versus Non-Jew in New York Finance"). The chapter text is on Wikisource.
  • Wording: The graphic is a fair excerpt. The original says "raw material" (not "raw materials") and does not stop at "live off the tiller." It continues: "Let other people toil at trades and manufacture; the Jew will exploit the fruits of their work. That is his peculiar genius. If this genius be described as parasitic, the term would seem to be justified by a certain fitness."
  • Who wrote the copy: There is no Ford manuscript for that paragraph. U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum says William J. Cameron ghostwrote "Mr. Ford's Page" and wrote most of the International Jew series after editor Edwin Pipp resigned in protest. Jonathan Logsdon's Hanover paper quotes Pipp saying Cameron complained that Ford was pushing him to start "those cursed Jewish articles."
  • Ford's part: Ford owned the paper. Dearborn Publishing Company issued the booklets. USHMM says Ford replaced Pipp with Cameron and required Ford dealerships to distribute the Independent. Logsdon cites a 1922 Judson Welliver interview in which Ford called the Jew "a mere huckster, a trader who doesn't want to produce, but to make something out of what someone else produces." That is the same idea as the 1920 article. This package does not have the original Welliver clip.
  • The "I never read it" defense: A lawsuit was later filed when The Independent published a separate piece of content that attacked Aaron Sapiro, a Jewish lawyer, who accused them of civil libel. USHMM records that Ford's lawyers tried to distance him in Sapiro v. Ford (1927), that Louis Marshall drafted the apology Ford signed, and that Ford claimed he would have forbidden the series if he had known the details. Wikipedia's International Jew page, citing Neil Baldwin, says Cameron testified he never discussed the pages with Ford or sent them for approval. That testimony and the Marshall letter were the legal exit from the Sapiro case, not a Ford manuscript proving he never saw the series. Ford closed the paper that year.

In plain language:

Yes. Ford’s paper printed that line in 1920 and put it in The International Jew. Cameron wrote the copy. Ford owned the paper and put Cameron in charge after Pipp quit. “I never read it” was the excuse used during the lawsuit.
