Epstein Connected Clinton Aide Mark Middleton's Death Was Ruled a Suicide From a Shotgun Wound and Hanging
Rating:
True
Finding:
Mark Edward Middleton was a Clinton White House aide with documented ties to Jeffrey Epstein. The Arkansas State Crime Laboratory ruled his May 2022 death a suicide from a contact shotgun wound of the chest and hanging.
Claim 1: Mark Edward Middleton, a Clinton aide, was connected to Jeffrey Epstein
Verdict: True.
Who: Mark Edward Middleton (October 12, 1962 to May 7, 2022) was a Little Rock businessman and lawyer. After Clinton's 1992 campaign he served in the White House as a special assistant to President Bill Clinton and as deputy / assistant to Chief of Staff Thomas F. "Mack" McLarty. The Clinton Presidential Library finding aid says his job was corporate outreach, "select constituencies," and economic and trade policy. He left in February 1995.
Appointments: A January 12, 2023 NARA notice of Clinton Presidential records (FOIA 2022-0113-F, segment 2) describes emails "regarding visitor access clearance for Jeffrey Epstein's appointments with Mark Middleton and Karen D. Ewing in 1994." That is a government description of White House appointment records. It is not the visitor-log sheets themselves. The Daily Mail said it obtained those logs and counted at least 17 Epstein visits, with Middleton signing him in on seven. Later outlets repeat that Mail count. We could not independently verify these sign ins or visits, despite The Daily Mail's reporting. This package does not include the WAVES sheets required to substantiate this information.

The plane: U.S. v. Maxwell Government Exhibit 662-RR, David Rodgers's pilot log, page 27, May 1994, aircraft HS125-700 tail N988JE. Middleton's name is written on four legs:
U.S. v. Maxwell Government Exhibit 662-RR page 27 May 1994 pilot log listing Mark Middleton on Epstein flightsClose crop of May 13-15 1994 log rows showing JE Jennifer Mark, JE Mark Middleton twice, and JE Donald Trump Marla Tiffany Mark Middleton
May 13, Teterboro to Reagan National: "JE, JENNIFER DRIVER." Same day, Reagan National to Palm Beach: "JE, JENNIFER, MARK." May 14, Palm Beach to MYGF and back: "JE, MARK MIDDLETON" both ways. May 15, Palm Beach to Reagan National: "JE, DONALD TRUMP, MARLA, TIFFANY, MARK MIDDLETON" (the nanny is also written on that line). The next leg that day, Reagan National to Teterboro, lists the Trump party and nanny and does not list Middleton.
In plain language: Yes. Middleton was a Clinton White House aide. NARA describes 1994 visitor-clearance emails for Epstein appointments with him, and the Maxwell trial pilot log puts him on Epstein’s plane on four legs in May 1994.
Claim 2: He was found dead at Heifer Ranch after an abandoned vehicle and an empty gun case
Verdict: True.
Ian M. Peters, working at Heifer Ranch, 55 Heifer Rd, Perryville, wrote a two-page Perry County Sheriff's Department statement. Page 1 is dated Saturday, May 7. Page 2 is a May 11, 2022 supplement at 3:09 p.m. He said a vehicle nobody recognized had been on site for several hours, that he called the sheriff to report it and request a tow, and that an officer found an empty gun case while searching the vehicle.
Page 1 of Ian Peters written statement that an unrecognized vehicle sat at Heifer Ranch on May 7 2022 and officers found an empty gun case
On the supplement he wrote that coworker Sam McElroy called for help, pointed toward an overlook about 150 feet away, and asked if it was a body. Peters said he could see the outline of a still body from 150 to 200 feet, with no details, and that officers and a tow-truck driver spent time at the outlook.

In plain language: Yes. A ranch employee told the sheriff an unrecognized vehicle had sat on site, officers found an empty gun case in it, and a body was then seen at the overlook. This statement does not describe a shotgun wound or a hanging.

The family's May 23, 2022 Perry County brief had already said he "died by suicide on May 7, 2022." That filing matches the later manner finding. It is not a substitute for the autopsy.
