In March of 2019, Rep. Ilhan Omar while speaking at a fundraiser for CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations), chose to describe the 9/11 attacks in which thousands of Americans were murdered by Islamic terrorists as “some people did something”, before claiming Islamic citizens were losing their civil rights.
