On January 30, 2024, after a Delaware court ruled against him (in the case of Richard J. Tornetta v. Elon Musk et al.), Elon Musk held a public poll on X regarding whether he should change Tesla’s state of incorporation from Delaware to Texas, the home of its physical headquarters.
After the poll concluded its run, he posted that Tesla would immediately move its state of incorporation to Texas.
