In a tweet published on September 5, 2023, Liberty Safe (@libertysafeinc), announced that they had responded to an FBI warrant with regards to a January 6th protest defendant, who had a Liberty Safe brand safe. Their response to the FBI was to provide them with an access code that granted them access to the firearms and contents secured within the safe itself.
Based on their policy update announcement, it seems like the code that was provided was likely the default code that the safe came with.
Their response is archived below in image format. A link to their original post is below as well. It also appears that they had permitted responses to their post, and then blocked people from commenting, and then later changed it again to permit responses from the public.
On September 6, 2023, they published another reply in response to the backlash to how they complied to the warrant provided by the FBI. Their response is archived below.
