On January 6, 2023, tempers flared after the 14th round of voting for Speaker of the House, when Matt Gaetz did not vote for Kevin McCarthy, which left McCarthy only a single vote short. In the video below McCarthy appears to walk up to a seated Gaetz and exchanges words. When Mike Rodgers joins the group, he is restrained by another member of the House.
