George Stephanopoulos donated $75,000 from 2012 through 2014 to the Clinton Foundation. However, these donations, while a matter of public record, were not specifically disclosed to his audience, and the general public.

In 2015 he apologized for failing to specifically publicly disclose these donations, admitted he should have done so, and said he considers his donations to the foundation a mistake.

Although there is reporting online that ABC News (his employer at the time) did not know about the donations either, we could find no way to prove Stephanopoulos said this, or that ABC News confirmed they didn’t know. There were some quotes that he said this in a statement or an interview, but we could not independently verify this particular part of the claim.

The official Clinton Foundation website section which discloses donators in the dollar ranges they fall into, seems to have been removed from the live website, and results in a 404 error. We found an archived version, and provide that below.
