In an episode of The View, (which according to the limited research we could conduct, aired on November 16, 2000), Norm MacDonald was a featured guest, presumably to promote his TV show called ‘Norm’ as well as his appearance on Who Wants to be A Millionaire. During the discussion the hosts had with Norm during the segment, Norm MacDonald said:
“Well I hope that the Democrats don’t steal the election from the winner you know… but… who knows.”
and he also accused Bill Clinton of being a murderer.
One of the hosts said:
Well who are the murderers?
Norm responded with:
Well Clinton, he murdered a guy.
Multiple members of the hosts tried to keep him from talking about that subject and told him to ‘shut up’. Despite this, he kept bringing up the topic. The video clip we found is available below.
Note: There was a small intro sequence for The View segment where the show Norm had a clip shown prior to Norm walking on stage, but it wasn’t relevant to the fact check, so we removed it from the video.
Although we’re uncertain who the murder victim was supposed to be, some mentions online indicate it was Vince Foster, who was found dead on July 20, 1993, though his death was ruled a suicide by five different official investigations.
