On January 30, 2024, after a Delaware court ruled against him (in the case of Richard J. Tornetta v. Elon Musk et al.), Elon Musk held a public poll on X regarding if he should change Tesla’s state of incorporation from Delaware to Texas, the home of it’s physical headquarters.
After the poll concluded its run, he posted that Tesla would immediately move its state of incorporation to Texas.
