In September of 2022, Florida Ron DeSantis flew approximately 50 foreign migrants from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts. Within approximately 48 hours (~3 PM Sep 14 to pre-6 PM Sep 16), Democratic Governor Charlie Baker had the Massachusetts National Guard remove them from the area. They were transported to Joint Base Cape Cod for sheltering purposes.
Governor Charlie Baker announced this information, in a now unavailable press release. The link to the original is now 403 unauthorized (link in Links To Evidence section below). We were unable to find any online archive with a copy of the PDF file, or anywhere else for that matter.
The contents of this press release have been quoted across multiple other news agencies, including in a broadcast television segment on a local CBS news channel. The involvement of the Massachusetts National Guard is indicated in this video, as well as in other reporting and quotes of the now unavailable press release. The video is below.
