The entire Canadian Parliament gave two standing ovations to an actual Nazi SS member in their parliament chambers on September 22, 2023. The name of the Nazi soldier was Yaroslav Hunka. At the time of this writing he is aged either 98 or 99 years old (we found two differing reports of his age). During World War 2, Yaroslav Hunka fought in a German Nazi SS infantry division (the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (1st Galician)).

Canadian House of Commons Speaker Anthony Rota described Yaroslav Hunka, prior to the standing ovations, as:

… a Ukrainian hero, a Canadian hero, and we thank him for all his service.

The Canadian House of Commons Speaker Anthony Rota has since resigned from the Speaker position.

Canada has actually admitted to harboring Nazi war criminals (at least ~1300 of them). In reporting and interviewing done by 60-Minutes from 1997, a Canadian official (John Sims) admits to this fact.

Yaroslav Hunka is a dual Ukrainian / Canadian citizen. He was one of many Nazi soldiers who relocated from Ukraine to Canada after fighting Russian soldiers during his tenure in the German Nazi SS infantry division. Russians were part of the Allied powers which included the United States. Russia is considered to be the deciding force which ended the war largely through the use of countless military foot soldiers who fought on the ground to make advancements into Nazi controlled Germany.

As of this writing, Poland is attempting to extradite Yaroslav Hunka in order to investigate / charge him with war crimes related to his actions during World War 2. In World War 2 the Polish were a member of the Allied powers. (standard german nazis with ukrainian sympathizers says treeform) The Ukrainian Nazis of the time massacred Polish citizens during the war. Exact numbers of the Polish victims killed is not known, but is estimated to be between tens of thousands to over 100 thousand. This is distinct from the total number of Polish people killed throughout all of WW2 which measures in the multi-millions of casualties.

Although Ukraine does have its own neo-Nazi soldiers / military group, Ukrainian neo-Nazis are dissimilar to what Americans think of when discussing German Nazis, and largely are extreme nationalists with a pro-Ukrainian independence position, as well as with a Ukrainian supremacist position.

It’s important to note that Yaroslav Hunka was a Ukrainian who voluntarily joined the German Nazi SS division. Most of his countrymen (~7M of them) decided to join Russia when provided the choice between both options. The numbers we have found stating the number of Ukrainians who joined German Nazi SS forces has ranged between “thousands” to 70,000 to 250,000.

The left-leaning members of Canada’s Parliament have also requested that the fact this incident occurred to be deleted from official records. The video of this request is below.
