In a question and answer exchange during a news conference, Zelensky said:
The US will have to send their sons and daughters exactly the same way as we are sending our sons and daughters to war. And they will have to fight because its NATO that were talking about, and they will be dying.
It is important to note that Zelensky is likely referring to the United States being pulled into a larger scale conflict that involves more countries, and will have to fight as a result. It’s unlikely that he is suggesting that US servicemen and women will actually go to the Ukrainian front-lines to fight.
