There have been multiple attacks on and in the US Capitol building throughout history. The zeitgeist of the day is to focus on republicans from the January 6th protest, but the Democratic Party and presidents have actually pardoned and/or commuted the sentences of far more deadly and violent attacks than anything that occurred on January 6th.
