According to the Select Committee’s interview of Ray Epps on Friday, January 21, 2022, Ray Epps texted his nephew:
‘I was in front with a few others. I also orchestrated it.’
This is evidence of Ray Epps being connected to the January 6th protest at the Capitol. Many people involved in the January 6th Capitol Building protest have been charged, tried and convicted of crimes. Ray Epps remains uncharged and unconvicted of any crime.
Update 6/19/2024: Ray Epps was eventually charged and convicted for the crime of “disorderly or disruptive conduct on restricted grounds”. He was sentenced to no jail time over zoom.
Below is a video of the night before the protest, of Ray Epps telling the crowd of protesters that they need to go into the Capitol building the next day. Most of the protesters there did not agree with his sentiment.
