The Republicans won the popular vote in the 2022 midterm elections. Using compiled data from two sources, politico.com and cnn.com, we tallied up every vote for the Senate, House, and Governor races. This includes cases where the election was uncontested for both parties.
The two vote tallies are:
Democrats | 133,526,650 |
Republicans | 137,303,958 |
This provides the Republicans with a lead of 3,777,308 votes.
